Iceland is a really big hit now in terms of tourism. Originally, I thought about just staying in the capital, Reykjavík and enjoy the sights, the restaurants, etc. But that seemed kind of mainstream to me.
So I decided to circle the island with a car. Which is even more mainstream, as I later found out :D Everyone does that once they come to Iceland! But never mind - for someone who visits Iceland for the first time, mainstrea is good. I plan to go there again and do a Landmannalaugar trek (sleeping on the way in a tent).
I am going to circle the island, starting from Reykjavík, going south to east, and then north and back to Reykjavík. Sounds good, right?
